Accessibility Statement
We want this site to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, navigating by keyboard, running their device with reduced motion, or viewing at high zoom.
Effective date: 20 July 2026
The standard we build to
We build to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. US courts assessing claims under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act have generally used WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the reference standard. We target 2.2 because it is the current version and the additional criteria are worth meeting.
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard and some parts do not yet. We would rather state that accurately than claim full conformance, which very few sites can honestly claim.
What we have done
- Reduced motion is respected. Every animation checks your reduced-motion setting first. If your device asks for less movement, the scroll-driven sections stop moving and render as static content instead.
- Color contrast is measured, not eyeballed. Text and interface colors are checked against WCAG ratios. The blue used for small text was deliberately darkened to clear the 4.5:1 threshold against our background, and accent buttons carry dark text where a light one would have failed.
- Real semantic structure. Pages use genuine headings in order, landmarks, lists, and figure elements, so a screen reader can navigate the structure rather than guess at it.
- Keyboard operability. Interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard, carry visible focus, and have labels that describe what they do rather than where they go.
- Images carry alternative text, and decorative images are marked as decorative so they are skipped rather than announced.
- Touch targets on mobile meet the minimum size, and controls that were previously too small were enlarged.
- Forms have associated labels, and errors are announced rather than shown only by color.
- Zoom and reflow. Content reflows to a single column at high zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
Being specific about what is not yet right matters more than a general statement of intent:
- Some case study and photography images carry brief alternative text that identifies the subject without fully describing the composition. We are improving these as the images are replaced.
- Some decorative motion effects on the home page, including the animated hero and the scroll-driven work section, are visually complex. They respect reduced-motion settings, but the underlying experience is different for users who see the static version.
- Embedded third-party content, where present, is not under our direct control and may not meet the same standard.
- PDF and other downloadable documents, where linked, may not be fully tagged for accessibility.
How we assess
We test with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom, forced reduced-motion settings, automated contrast measurement, and inspection of the rendered accessibility tree. We have not commissioned a formal third-party audit, and we say so rather than imply one.
Tell us if something blocks you
If any part of this site prevents you doing what you came to do, tell us and we will fix it. This is the fastest route to a change, and we treat it as a bug rather than a request.
Email info@synrgycreative.com or call (805) 272-0088. Please describe the page and what happened. We aim to reply within two business days and will tell you what we plan to do and roughly when.
If our response does not resolve the problem, say so and we will escalate it internally rather than close it.
Compatibility
This site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, on desktop and mobile, together with the screen readers those platforms ship with. It may not work as well in browsers more than two major versions old.
Technical specifications
Accessibility of this site relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA. It is built to work where those are supported.
